New ear oil shows promise against fungal infections

Summary
This study tested whether miconazole oil can cure fungal ear infections (otomycosis). 112 adults with ear fungus received either the active oil or a placebo for 14 days. Neither patients nor doctors knew who got the real treatment. After two weeks, doctors checked if the infection was gone. The goal was to see if miconazole oil works better than a placebo.
