Denture paste study seeks to uncover hidden mouth microbes

This study looks at whether a common over-the-counter toothpaste-like product called MI Paste changes the types of bacteria and fungus living in the mouths of people 65 and older who wear a full upper denture. Researchers will also check if the paste makes dentures more comfortable and stay in place better. About 50 participants will use the paste for a period of time, and mouth swabs will be taken to track changes in the oral microbiome.
