Summary

This trial tests whether a mobile health (mHealth) program can improve quality of life for colorectal cancer survivors who have finished active treatment. About 210 Vietnamese-speaking adults will either use the app daily and receive biweekly phone calls for 3 months, or get usual care. The study measures changes in distress, depression, anxiety, fatigue, and bowel function.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
mHealth survivorship program (mobile app and biweekly phone consultations)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, scalable way to help colorectal cancer survivors feel better emotionally and physically after treatment.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with no blinding, so results may be influenced by participants' expectations. The program requires daily app use, which may be hard for some to maintain.
