Gentler chemo vs hormone therapy: which better slows advanced cancer?
NCT ID NCT00420563
Summary
This study compared two approaches for people with advanced cancer who had run out of standard treatment options. It tested whether low-dose daily chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide) or a hormone therapy (megestrol) was better at keeping the cancer from growing for at least two months. The main goal was to see which treatment helped control the disease longer while managing side effects in this palliative care setting.
