First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested two treatments for people with advanced cancer who had no other options. One group took a low-dose chemotherapy drug (cyclophosphamide) daily, and the other took a hormone pill (megestrol). The goal was to see which treatment could keep the cancer from growing for at least 2 months. The study included 88 adults with various cancers (except breast cancer) and measured how long the cancer stayed stable.
