Could a chemo-immunotherapy combo tame hard-to-treat colorectal cancer?

NCT ID NCT05504252

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding an immunotherapy drug (nivolumab) to a standard chemotherapy (Nordic FLOX) can help control or shrink metastatic colorectal cancer that is mismatch repair proficient (pMMR) or microsatellite stable (MSS). These types usually don't respond well to immunotherapy alone. The trial enrolls 80 adults with previously untreated, measurable metastatic disease. The goal is to see if the combination improves progression-free survival and may allow some patients to have surgery later.
