First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the steroid methylprednisolone to standard clot-removal treatment helps people recover better after a severe stroke caused by a large blockage. About 912 adults aged 18-85 with a large stroke will receive either the steroid or a placebo before their clot removal procedure. The main goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later.
