Summary

This study tested whether methylene blue, a medicine that affects blood vessel tone, can prevent low blood pressure during kidney dialysis in critically ill patients. 261 adults with acute kidney injury and low blood pressure or requiring blood pressure support took part. The goal was to see if methylene blue reduces the need for extra blood pressure medication or prevents dialysis interruptions.
