New combo therapy targets hard-to-treat rheumatoid arthritis patients

NCT ID NCT06301373

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study compares two treatments for adults with active rheumatoid arthritis who have a specific joint tissue type (myeloid-stromal) that often leads to poor outcomes. Participants will either receive standard methotrexate alone or methotrexate combined with tofacitinib for 12 weeks, with follow-up up to 48 weeks. The goal is to see if the combo improves symptoms and slows joint damage better than methotrexate alone.
