New hope for easing agony in Kids' cancer transplants

NCT ID NCT06940570

Summary

This study aims to see if adding methadone to standard morphine pain medication better controls severe mouth pain in children aged 6-18 undergoing stem cell transplants. Researchers will compare pain levels, medication use, and recovery between children receiving the two-drug combination versus morphine alone. The goal is to improve comfort and quality of life during the difficult transplant recovery period.
