Summary

This study tests whether giving a single dose of methadone during hip replacement surgery can lower pain and reduce the need for other opioids afterward. Researchers will enroll 162 adults aged 18-75 who are having elective hip replacement. The goal is to improve pain control and recovery while decreasing reliance on strong pain medications.
