Common diabetes drug tested for Anti-Aging effects in lung disease

NCT ID NCT07275359

Summary

This early-stage study investigates whether metformin, a medication typically used for diabetes, is safe and well-tolerated in older adults with COPD who do not have diabetes. Researchers will enroll 45 participants to see if metformin changes certain blood markers related to aging. The main goal is to check safety and feasibility, not to cure COPD.
