ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION Knowledge-focused Sponsor: Mayo Clinic Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study aims to understand if metal implants (like plates, screws, or rods) used in children's bones release metal into their bloodstream. Researchers are measuring metal levels in the blood and tissues of 50 children aged 4-18 who have these implants. The goal is to learn if this happens, which metals might be safer, and if routine removal of the implants is needed.
