NCT ID NCT06682819

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at people who carry gene changes linked to Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) but still have normal vision. Researchers want to see if certain chemicals in the blood and tears can show early nerve damage in the eye, before vision gets worse. About 90 participants will provide samples and have eye scans to help find a way to predict who might lose sight.
