First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at chemical fingerprints (metabolites) in blood, lung tissue, and exhaled breath from 74 people with either non-small cell lung cancer or harmless lung nodules. The goal was to find differences that could help diagnose lung cancer without invasive procedures. Researchers used advanced lab techniques to compare samples from 22 cancer patients and 20 controls. This is a completed, small-scale study that does not test a treatment.
