New study uses nicotine metabolism to help alaska natives quit smoking

Summary

This study aims to help Alaska Native and American Indian people quit smoking by tailoring their treatment based on how fast their body breaks down nicotine. About 50 participants will receive a personalized medication plan and be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and to identify any barriers to its use.
