NCT ID NCT06340321
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the body's ability to switch between burning sugar and fat (called metabolic flexibility) is linked to changes in metabolic health over 16 years. Researchers will re-examine 18 adults who took part in a study in 2008-2009, measuring things like blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and body fat. The goal is to understand if poor metabolic flexibility causes health problems or is just a result of them.
