Summary
This study tested whether patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma could complete an intensive combination treatment. The treatment included surgery to remove visible tumors, a special light-activated drug therapy during surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Researchers wanted to see if patients could tolerate all these treatments together without severe side effects.
