New combo treatment tested for tough chest cancer
NCT ID NCT04897022
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether combining a targeted radiation technique called IMPRINT with the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab is safe for people with advanced malignant pleural mesothelioma. Researchers will first find the highest radiation dose that causes few or manageable side effects when given with the drug. Once a safe dose is determined, they'll test whether this combination might help control this aggressive chest cancer in patients who have already tried other treatments.
