First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a new approach for malignant pleural mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive lung cancer. Six patients received a combination of surgery, light-activated drug therapy (PDT), chemotherapy, and radiation. The goal was to see if this intense treatment plan was safe and doable. Early results suggest it may help patients live longer, but more research is needed.
