Summary

This study tests whether giving a short course of chemotherapy plus immunotherapy before surgery can improve outcomes for people with Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare skin cancer. About 36 adults with operable tumors will receive one cycle of retifanlimab and platinum-etoposide before their planned surgery. The main goal is to see how many patients have no cancer left in the removed tissue.
