Experimental vaccine aims to reset immune system in diabetes
NCT ID NCT03624062
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether a vaccine called MER3101 could safely help reset the immune system in people with recent-onset type 1 diabetes. The trial involved 21 adults who had been diagnosed within the past two years, comparing different vaccine doses against a placebo. Researchers measured safety and looked for signs that the vaccine might calm the immune attack on insulin-producing cells.
