Summary
This study tested whether mepolizumab, a drug that reduces certain immune cells, can lessen chronic cough in people with asthma or a related airway condition. 46 adults with a cough lasting over 8 weeks received the drug, and researchers measured their cough frequency over 14 weeks. The goal was to see if calming airway inflammation could reduce the urge to cough.
