First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a mentoring program helps new nurses handle the shock of starting work, adapt to the clinic, and build professional skills. 56 new nurses were split into two groups: one got a one-month mentoring program, the other got standard training. Researchers measured their adjustment and skills before, after, and three months later. The goal was to see if mentoring makes the first job easier for new nurses.
