Mind games: can mental training speed up ACL comebacks?
NCT ID NCT07476430
Summary
This study is testing whether mental skills training can help young athletes cope better with the stress of returning to sports after ACL knee surgery. It will enroll 130 athletes aged 8-25 who are having surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. Half will receive mental skills coaching before and after surgery, while the other half will not, to see if the training improves their confidence and reduces anxiety.
