New therapy aims to ease the heavy burden on families making Life-or-Death decisions
NCT ID NCT05587517
Summary
This study is testing a therapy program called EMPOWER, designed to support family members who are making difficult medical decisions for a critically ill loved one in the ICU. The goal is to see if this program can reduce symptoms of severe grief, trauma, and regret that these family members often experience. Researchers will compare the EMPOWER program to standard supportive conversations with 172 participants over a year.
