New hospital program aims to break cycle of mental illness and legal trouble
NCT ID NCT07359157
Summary
This study is testing a 9-session group program for adults hospitalized with serious mental illness (like depression, bipolar, or psychotic disorders) who are also involved with the legal system. The program aims to help participants better understand their mental health and reduce factors that can lead to future arrests or hospitalizations. Researchers will see if the program is practical to run, if patients find it helpful, and if it improves mental health symptoms and reduces risky behaviors.
