Brain aneurysm diagnosis: does watching and waiting worsen anxiety?

NCT ID NCT06123325

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how being told you have an unruptured brain aneurysm (a weak spot on a blood vessel in the brain that hasn't burst) affects your mental health. Researchers will compare two groups of 120 people: those who simply get regular check-ups and those who have a procedure to fix the aneurysm. The goal is to see which approach leads to less anxiety and depression using a standard questionnaire.
