New training aims to bridge gap between mental and physical health care
NCT ID NCT04696653
Summary
This study tested a new training and support program for mental health care teams. The goal was to see if this program could help providers better screen for and manage common heart disease risk factors—like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes—in their patients with serious mental illness. The study involved 85 participants and focused on measuring changes in the clinic's culture and the providers' confidence, rather than testing a new drug or device.
