Major US trial aims to fix broken system for new Mothers' mental health
NCT ID NCT06790641
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to connect pregnant and postpartum people with mental health care. It will compare two approaches across 32 clinics nationwide: one focuses on improving care within the healthcare system, and the other adds a community-based peer support program. The goal is to reduce depression and anxiety by making treatment more accessible and effective, especially for groups that often face barriers to care.
