Can a menopause drug unlock secrets to fatty liver disease?
NCT ID NCT06523530
Summary
This study aims to understand if a drug that temporarily stops menstrual cycles (causing a reversible, drug-induced menopause) affects fat buildup in the liver. It will observe 62 women with endometriosis, comparing those who receive the drug after surgery to those who do not. The main goal is to gather knowledge about the link between hormones and liver health, not to treat the liver disease.
