Can a supplement unlock the secret to menopause blues?
NCT ID NCT06238700
Summary
This study aims to understand how a natural hormone might be linked to depression in women going through menopause. Researchers will give 80 women either a dietary supplement (pregnenolone) or a placebo to see how it affects their mood and brain function. The goal is to learn more about the biological causes of depression during this life transition, not to provide a treatment.
