Summary
This study tested a computer system that alerts pharmacists when a hospitalized patient is at high risk for kidney injury caused by medications. The pharmacist then works with the patient's doctor to adjust care. The goal was to see if this approach reduces serious kidney complications. The study involved 698 adults in 8 hospitals.
