Summary

This study aimed to understand what it feels like for women to undergo a membrane sweep, a common manual procedure used to help start labor. Researchers interviewed about 20 first-time mothers in Italy shortly after they gave birth to hear their personal stories and feelings about the experience. The goal was to gather real-world perspectives to better inform and support future patients considering this option.
