NCT ID NCT05063851
First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether memantine, a drug already used for Alzheimer's symptoms, can help prevent the disease in people at high risk. It includes 32 adults aged 50 to 65 who have a family history of dementia and carry the ApoE4 gene. The main goal is to see if it's practical to run a larger prevention trial, not yet to prove the drug works.
