NCT ID NCT05084196

Summary

This study is testing whether melatonin, a common over-the-counter supplement, can prevent kidney damage in hospitalized patients who need strong antibiotics. It will involve 300 adults who are prescribed a specific combination of antibiotics. Participants will receive either melatonin or a placebo pill daily while on the antibiotics to see if it reduces the risk of kidney injury.
