Sleep hormone gel tested to ease painful wisdom tooth recovery
NCT ID NCT07374536
Summary
This study is testing if applying a melatonin gel directly into the tooth socket after wisdom tooth surgery helps patients heal better. Researchers want to see if it reduces post-surgery pain and swelling, improves jaw movement, and helps new bone fill in the socket. They are comparing the melatonin gel to a standard treatment in a small group of healthy adults.
