Summary
This study tested whether taking melatonin for three nights before wisdom tooth removal can lower pain and the need for painkillers after surgery. Sixty adults aged 18-35 took either melatonin or a placebo before their procedure. Researchers measured how many pain pills participants used and checked inflammatory markers in the blood.
