Scientists test new drug cocktail to fight advanced skin cancer

NCT ID NCT03999749

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a drug called tocilizumab to two existing immunotherapy drugs (ipilimumab and nivolumab) is safe and effective for people with advanced melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery. The trial involves 71 participants and will measure side effects, how many people's tumors shrink, and how long the treatment keeps the cancer from getting worse. The goal is to see if this three-drug combination should be studied further in larger trials.
