Cancer treatment safety under scrutiny: Five-Year watch for infection risks
NCT ID NCT02910557
Summary
This study monitored melanoma patients who received the treatment IMLYGIC in real-world settings. Researchers followed 187 patients for up to five years to understand the risk of herpes infections from the treatment and whether those infections could spread to close contacts or healthcare providers. The study also tracked long-term safety and survival outcomes to ensure the treatment remains safe during regular use.
