First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a statewide educational campaign can help people in Oregon spot the early signs of melanoma, a serious skin cancer. Researchers will compare awareness and early detection rates in Oregon with neighboring states that did not receive the campaign. Up to 75,000 people, including patients and healthcare providers, will take part to see if education can reduce deaths from melanoma.
