New drug combo tested before brain surgery for melanoma patients
NCT ID NCT05704933
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This early study tested whether giving a single dose of immune-boosting drugs (nivolumab with either ipilimumab or relatlimab) before brain surgery is safe and possible for people with melanoma that has spread to the brain. Only one person took part, so the main goal was to see if the approach could work and to study how immune cells change. The study did not aim to cure or control the disease directly, but to gather information for future research.
