Summary

This study tested whether giving very high doses of vitamin C to adults with sepsis (a life-threatening infection) could reduce the chance of death within 28 days. 234 patients received either vitamin C or a placebo for up to 4 days. The goal was to see if vitamin C helps control the disease and improve survival.
