Can your diet change prostate cancer metabolism? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT05590624

Summary

This study aims to understand how different Mediterranean-style diets affect the body's metabolism in men with early-stage prostate cancer who are on active surveillance. Researchers will provide controlled meals to 30 participants and measure changes in prostate tissue, blood markers, and gut bacteria. The goal is to gather knowledge about how diet might influence prostate cancer biology, not to treat or cure the disease.
