First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether following a Mediterranean diet for three months after deep brain stimulation surgery helps Parkinson's patients manage weight and improve body composition. About 24 adults aged 45-64 will be randomly assigned to either receive Mediterranean diet guidance or continue their usual diet. Researchers will track weight, body measurements, appetite, quality of life, and physical activity to see if the diet makes a difference.
