Diet tested to stop weight gain after Parkinson's brain surgery
NCT ID NCT07187739
Summary
This study is testing whether following a Mediterranean diet for three months can help control weight gain and improve body composition in Parkinson's disease patients who have undergone deep brain stimulation surgery. Researchers will compare a group receiving Mediterranean diet guidance with a group continuing their usual diet to see if the diet helps with weight management, appetite, and quality of life. The study involves 24 adult Parkinson's patients who have had the specific brain surgery and will track their progress over three months.
