Could a mediterranean diet ease stomach troubles for kids with cystic fibrosis?
NCT ID NCT07223255
Summary
This study is testing if following a Mediterranean diet for six months can help control gastrointestinal problems in children with cystic fibrosis (CF). Researchers want to see if this diet reduces gut inflammation, improves symptoms like stomach pain, and changes the mix of gut bacteria. The goal is to provide clearer, healthier eating advice to families, moving away from old recommendations of very high-fat, high-calorie diets.
