Brain zap meets meditation: new hope for Tough-to-Treat depression?
NCT ID NCT04586699
Summary
This study is testing if combining a meditation-like breathing exercise with a magnetic brain stimulation treatment (rTMS) works better for depression than the stimulation alone. It involves 50 adults with moderate to severe depression who haven't gotten enough relief from antidepressant medications. The goal is to see if focusing on your breath during the brain stimulation makes the treatment more effective at reducing depression symptoms.
