Food as medicine: can prescription meals tame diabetes?

NCT ID NCT04828785

Summary

This study tests if delivering medically tailored meals helps adults with type 2 diabetes who struggle to afford healthy food. Researchers will compare 200 participants: half receive weekly healthy meal deliveries and coaching for 6 months, while the other half receive a small monthly food subsidy. The main goal is to see if the prepared meals lead to better blood sugar control and less food insecurity.
