First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether watching a medical TV drama can improve asthma knowledge in people aged 18–35 without medical backgrounds. About 48 participants from different countries will be randomly assigned to watch the drama or not. Researchers will measure changes in asthma-related knowledge using a quiz. The goal is to see if entertainment can be an effective educational tool.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward using entertainment media as a low-cost tool to boost public understanding of asthma.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 48 participants. It measures knowledge change, not health outcomes, so real-world impact is uncertain.
