First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study is testing whether adding the deworming drug mebendazole to standard mesalamine therapy can safely improve symptoms in people with mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis. About 46 adults will take mebendazole alongside their usual medication, and researchers will track changes in disease activity and blood markers. The goal is to see if this combination offers better control of the condition without serious side effects.
